Privacy

Unmark Text is designed so the text you paste into the web cleaner stays on your device. Cleaning and inspection happen in browser memory. We do not transmit, store, or train on that text.

Optional analytics

If you allow analytics, we use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand visits, feature usage, and interface problems. Events may include the page viewed, the button used, total character count, and number of invisible characters found. They never include your pasted or cleaned text.

Your choice

Analytics storage is denied by default. The consent banner lets you allow or decline analytics. Google Consent Mode v2 and Microsoft Clarity ConsentV2 receive that choice. You can clear this site’s local storage to reset your preference.

Server API

The optional open API processes request text in memory and returns the result. The application does not intentionally log request bodies or retain submitted text. Hosting infrastructure may retain standard request metadata such as time, route, status, and IP-derived security signals.

For privacy questions, open an issue in the public GitHub repository without including private text.
